Here! Over Here! It's Me!

Present and accounted for...mostly.

Things got a bit strange and scary last evening when, during the heavy downpours and strong winds, there came a roar, a rumble, a shaking that is hard to describe.  Not like the swaying of last week's earthquake, but like that of a fast moving train very close by.

Then I fell asleep.  Woke at 5 am to light rain, still gusty winds and a gray sky.  Must have lost power for a time because all clocks were blinking when I got up and looked around.

The town remains in lockdown mode and I am going to take a walk around to see what I can see.

  1. That roar was probably the tornado. Damage in Lewis, I understand. Destroyed two homes and seriously damaged a few others. Also a reported tornado at Dover AFB, destroyed one plane and seriously damaged a few others.

We are okay here in Madison, NJ. I'm so afraid about what we'll see when we get home. Oh God, I don't even want to think about it.

Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy, Lord, have mercy.

Just glad to know you're okay.

  2. Glad to hear that you made it through without major problems. Continued prayers for all who have suffered and all who continue to work to repair and restore the community.
