Crikey! Did you see this? From what I understand, a mondo iceberg four times the size of Manhattan broke into pieces off the coast of Greenland last year, and now nearly a year later they are seeing it appear off the 'iceberg alley' shores of Newfoundland!The top photo is a slice of ice that hit Newfoundland's Goose Cove temporarily blocking the harbor until it broke and melted a bit.
Cannot imagine what the residents thought when they woke up one morning to find this staring them in the face. Jeebus!

ReplyDeleteI don't hear the Righties screaming about global warming being a hoax now after a month of 90 degree plus temperatures. Even the Hudson billboard across Rt. 1 from us took down their sign that said "Where's that global warming now?" that they had up during last winter's snowstorm. This is an amazing picture. Can you imagine something like this floating down the Rehoboth-Lewes Canal?
