For the last two days I have listened to people saying, "now that Obama is president he can..." or, "President Obama has to do ________ (fill in the blank), as soon as possible." Are we really this stupid? If so, it's no wonder people continue to believe he's a one man Muslim terrorist cell. Jeebus!
Please people, we have to get through the next 74 days before Barack Obama is sworn in as President - and in case you haven't been paying attention - Bush is still a loose canon and could conceivably take us into yet another war in the interim.
It is not time to make wishes or demands; there is work to be done to get this country back on track. Line up and help get it done.

Boy was I glad to see your post on this one! I've had to leave about 12 comments on 12 different blogs and web-sites that were yapping about what Obama should be doing - he was elected on the 4th, and by the 5th there were already some web-sites blabbing about the action he should be taking.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe these idiots don't realize that not until January 20, 2009, will Obama be able to take ONE action as PRESIDENT.
One web-site had their banner post as 'CHANGE, YOU CALL THIS CHANGE'??? The writer proceeded to say that not one thing had changed since Obama had been elected; the date of this post was 11/7/08 - 3 days after the election. The writer went on and on about the economy being the 'new president's fault'; etc., and I just blew my cork - I'm sure he'll pull my comment after he reads it because I really blasted him hard!
Have you noticed the television spends all of its time making our government officials either look like dopes; idiots, or demands accountability based on THEIR TERMS - they are the most dangerous entity in this nation! They play up the difficulties of any issue (like the gay marriage issue); they incite us to over-react, and to believe what they are saying is actually 100% and gospel.
They blame; the accuse - the plant evil and devious thoughts. In addition, if it's not a news show or talk show, the type of programming is a large percentage crime and punishment-type programming.
The reality programs are obnoxious and set low moral standards.
For the most part, I can't find much to watch and certainly little to trust. Adding to the MSM, we get these idiot bloggers who create the damning remarks and absurd statements.
I was relieved to see you actually took the time to address it on your blog because I was ready to do a rant on my blog, and (instead) can just do a 'mini-rant' in your comment section.
