This arrived this morning and it pretty much sums up what the other side is really out to accomplish. Sorry to say, this has nothing to do with health care reform, and everything to do with the fact that we have a black, smart, president.
The other side doesn't give a tinker's damn about the people, it's all about politics and a black man in the White House.
More later.

What have the Republicans done in the past 8 years to help "The People" [their voters]? Nothing! Except starting a war or two which still costs billions a day.
ReplyDeleteI know most Americans don't want to hear the following, put an extra tax on gasoline and from that money you pay the health reform. In the end it will pay for itself.
We in the Netherlands have all national health insurance, for a lousy $1500 a year you're insured, pay an extra $100 and you have dental insurance too.
Indeed!
ReplyDeleteSenator Diment got caught up in his own arrogance and slipped up and told the truth about how he really feels. Most of the Republicans only want to see a Democratic president fail. They have no other agenda other than to cut taxes for the richest and wealthiest among us and channel benefits to their corporate owners from he government coffers. There is nothing complicated about their agenda. Scare the public with the threat of terrorism and gays and pound the bible about how moral and righteous they are. Their hypocrisy is unbelievable. Even more unbelievable is that so many of the average voters still buy into their lies. Such is the extent of their fear. If we listened to the Republicans there would be no civil rights act, no Social Security, and no Medicare. Ask yourself those of you who are still drinking the Republican Kool-Aid, what have they done for you lately? In fact, what have they ever done for the average man other to instill fear and hatred?
ReplyDeletehealth care health reform is way to big for anyone to reform it, alas.
ReplyDeleteNo, actually health care reform is much simpler than it is made out to be. The current medical establishment needs competition to bring the cost down. They don't want competition because they want to keep their profits as high as possible. And that is the camel that has to be broken. Health care reform will be the Waterloo of the stranglehold that the current medical establishment has on our health care system. It is as simple as that.
