ReplyDeleteI was particularly struck by the bishop's comments that "we have had many gay bishops before. Bishop Robinson was not the first gay bishop. He was the first to be honest about it." Indeed. This is a truth (and can be applied to pastors and parishioners as well as bishops) that the Church has tried to ignore from its very beginnings.
